The sprawling, lush-green campus dotted with a large variety of trees, including coconut, mango, chikkoo, etc. situated on a 7.5 acre plot opposite to Kasaragod Collectorate, about 200 meters away from National Highway 66. The Vidyalaya is governed by the Chinmaya Mission Educational & Cultural Trust, Kasaragod with a Board of Management consisting of local members of the Chinmaya Mission and other people interested in the cause. We have classes from Kindergarten to Senior Secondary level (LKG to Plus two). The School has now evolved and is rated as the best educational institution in Kasaragod with nearly 1550 students on the rolls.

In Kindergarten, Montessori, Play-way and other modern methods to develop and promote skills of the child are adopted. The Classes from I to XII are as prescribed by the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi.

The Vidyalaya had a humble beginning in the year 1971 with just 11 students and 2 teachers. It became a full-fledged secondary school in 1991, and the senior secondary section commenced in 1999. We are, at the moment, at a historical moment celebrating our Golden Jubilee Year.

The Vidyalaya infrastructure includes sufficient number of class rooms and quite a few other facilities housed in different blocks named as: SaraswathiNilayam, AdiShankara, Tapovan, Ganesha, Vibhooti and ChinmayaGokulam blocks, offering the most conducive atmosphere to the academic, spiritual and cultural enrichment of the students. An extensive playground with separate courts for basketball, Football, Shuttle badminton, Kho-Kho, etc. cater to the sports and physical educational needs of the students. Also there are separate kids’ parks for Kindergarten and Lower Primary Sections.

The other special facilities are a lovely, octagonally shaped DhyanMandir, Language Lab, Gymnasium, a well-equipped library with a spacious reading room and a large collection of student-oriented reader-friendly books, Art Gallery, separate LP library, Science Park, ATAL Tinkering Lab, and Mathematics Lab, etc. etc. There are spacious dining halls for LP class students and the K.G. section. There are also Art room, Craft room, Music room/dance room, and audio-visual room. There is provision for indoor games, too.

Technology enabled class rooms (40 nos) help the teachers and students in the use of specially prepared software based on the syllabus for all classes. Added to this, we also have a herbal garden and Nakshatravanam with 27 select plants according to the 27 birthday stars.
